UNDERCOVER DRUG RAID ERUPTS INTO 3 DALLAS HALLOWEEN SHOOTINGS—19 HIT!

Dallas Halloween Shootings Leave 19 Victims as Claims of Undercover Drug Raid Verified

DALLAS — November 3, 2026 — Three shootings across Dallas' Deep Ellum entertainment district left four people dead and approximately 15 others injured during Halloween weekend, prompting an investigation into whether the incidents were connected.

Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said detectives were investigating the three shootings, which occurred within approximately 75 minutes early November 1.

The violence began around 12:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of Elm Street, where five people were shot.

A second shooting occurred approximately 45 minutes later in the 2600 block of Main Street. Three people were killed.

All three incidents occurred within several blocks of one another in Deep Ellum, a district known for restaurants, bars and live entertainment.

The concentration of violence prompted a substantial emergency response.

Although the shootings occurred close together, investigators have not established that the same suspects or circumstances were involved in each incident.

The suggestion that an undercover drug raid triggered the shootings raises questions about whether law enforcement activity played a role in the violence.

There is also no verified evidence that officers were conducting a drug raid when the gunfire began.

Dallas police had increased patrols in Deep Ellum ahead of Halloween because large crowds were expected.

Comeaux said officers were already positioned throughout the entertainment district and responded quickly after hearing gunshots.

The claim that someone warned suspects about an undercover police operation remains unsupported.

Investigators would need to establish that an undercover operation existed before examining whether its details were disclosed.

According to ABC News, a police source described an incident in which a man allegedly announced his intention to shoot before opening fire.

Three people died at that location.

The account may help investigators reconstruct one shooting, but it does establish that the violence resulted from a drug raid or that the other incidents were connected.

On November 2, federal authorities announced Operation Deep Cover, a coordinated initiative targeting violent crime in Deep Ellum.

The operation involves the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas police and federal law enforcement partners.

Its purpose is to strengthen enforcement and address violent criminal activity in the district following the Halloween shootings.

The Justice Department also announced a federal firearm charge against a convicted felon arrested in Deep Ellum.

However, the announcement did not establish that the defendant participated in the Halloween shootings.

Detectives are reviewing surveillance footage, interviewing witnesses and examining physical evidence from the three crime scenes.

Their investigation must determine who fired the weapons, what caused each confrontation and whether any individuals were involved in multiple incidents.

The shootings have also raised questions about public safety in crowded nightlife districts despite increased police patrols.

For now, the confirmed facts establish three shootings, four deaths and approximately 15 injuries.

Whether the incidents shared a common motive remains unresolved. Claims involving an undercover drug raid or leaked police information have not been substantiated by publicly available evidence.
