DALLAS HALLOWEEN HORROR—3 SHOOTINGS, 19 VICTIMS, SUSPECTS JUST 16!

Dallas Halloween Shootings Leave 19 Victims as Police Investigate Possible Links Between Three Crimes

DALLAS — November 3, 2026 — Three shootings within approximately 75 minutes in Dallas' Deep Ellum entertainment district left four people dead and about 15 others injured early November 1, prompting an investigation into whether the violence was connected. Claims that 16-year-old suspects from a teenage gang carried out all three attacks.

Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said investigators were examining the shootings and reviewing evidence from multiple locations. The reported total of 19 victims includes four fatalities and approximately 15 injured people.

The first shooting occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of Elm Street, where five people were shot.

A second shooting followed at approximately 1:05 a.m. in the 2600 block of Main Street. Three people were killed at that location.

The three locations were within several blocks of one another in Deep Ellum, a neighborhood known for restaurants, music venues and nightlife.

The shootings occurred as Halloween celebrations were ending and crowds remained in the district.

The claim that the suspects were only 16 years old raises questions about whether juveniles were involved in the violence.

Police have publicly confirmed that all suspects were 16 or that teenagers carried out the three shootings as part of a coordinated gang operation.

The distinction matters because the age of one suspect, if established, would not automatically apply to everyone involved.

Investigators would need to identify the suspects in each incident and establish whether they shared gang affiliations, planning or motives.

Without documented evidence, describing the shootings as a teenage gang attack would go beyond the available findings.

The strongest confirmed connection is the location and timing of the shootings.

All three incidents occurred within Deep Ellum during a period of approximately 75 minutes.

The shootings also took place during a major Halloween nightlife period, when police had increased patrols because large crowds were expected.

According to ABC News, a police source described an incident in which a man allegedly announced his intention to shoot before opening fire.

Three people died at that location.

Investigators must determine whether the shootings were separate confrontations or involved overlapping individuals.

Dallas police have reviewed surveillance footage, interviewed witnesses and examined physical evidence collected from the shooting locations.

Comeaux said officers were already deployed throughout Deep Ellum and responded quickly when gunfire erupted.

Some officers provided emergency medical assistance to victims before additional responders arrived.

Investigators have also questioned individuals taken into custody while pursuing leads about those responsible.

Evidence from surveillance cameras, witness accounts and forensic examinations could help establish whether any suspects moved between the three locations.

A publicly verified finding has established that a teenage gang coordinated the violence.

The investigation remains focused on identifying those responsible and determining the circumstances of each shooting.

On November 2, federal prosecutors announced Operation Deep Cover, a coordinated law enforcement initiative targeting violent crime in Deep Ellum.

The operation involves federal, state and local agencies working to strengthen enforcement in the entertainment district.

The Justice Department also announced a federal firearm charge against a convicted felon arrested in the area.

For now, the confirmed evidence links the shootings by geography and timing, while questions about shared suspects, gang involvement and coordinated planning remain unresolved.
